Born and raised in Asheville, NC. UNC-Chapel Hill BSN 2015 graduate set to complete the Doctor of Nursing Practice - Healthcare Leadership & Administration program in May 2022. Communication has always been a strong suit of mine both verbally and in written form. I intuitively recognized opportunities to explicitly teach patients and colleagues in order to create the most cohesive approach to patient care. More immediately, my focus has shifted toward organization & systems leadership for quality improvement & implementation science of evidence-based practices. My current DNP Quality Improvement study is titled “Implementation of a Peer Mentor Program in New Graduate Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurses to Reduce Burnout: A Practice Change”. My intention is to advocate for nurses regarding healthy and manageable work/life balance through positive relationships in the midst of often chaos and continuous change. It is my belief the better we as nurses can perform, the better care our patients will receive.
